First Answer
I don't think it is whether or not God wants you to kill your children, I think it is a question of whether or not your life is completely surrendered to Him. God wanted to know that Abraham trusted Him to do what ever He told him to do. In fact, Abraham told Sarah that he and Isaac would return. Abraham had the faith that knew God would take care of everything. That is the kind of faith that God wants us to have in Him today, to do whatever He says, and leave the details up to Him. God has never failed, and I don't see Him starting soon.

yeah, but what if i'm not even willing. I can only trust that God wouldn't ask that of me. IF he did though, if i'm not surrendered enough now to say yes, Lord, then does that mean I'm not surrendered? Does that make sense?
